Universal Basic Income is a very bad idea, still, if a city/state has it, shouldn’t it be fair to all?

Fellow patriots, please listen to this short, inspiring message from General Flynn. General Michael Flynn exemplifies patriotism, courage, and love of God and country - despite some of his own countrymen relentlessly attacking him. Donations for his defense are greatly appreciated. If you can only give $5.00, please do so - every little bit helps. Thank you so much, and God bless. Letter from General Flynn.
(TCP News) In a country where black people are supposedly severely discriminated against, and as a result have a much worse quality of life – comes this gem of a story.
A new privately funded program in Oakland California is paying out a universal basic income to city residents that are poor – no questions asked, and no stipulations required except the obvious one, a person’s income level.
Except that if you are a resident of Oakland, and you are poor, and you are white – you are NOT eligible. Say what???
From Zero Hedge:
The “Oakland Resilient Families” program has so far raised $6.75 million from private donors including Blue Meridian Partners, a national philanthropy group.
To be eligible, individuals must have at least one child under the age 18 and an income that is at or below 50% of the area median income – about $59,000 per year for a family of three.
Half the spots are reserved for people who earn less than 138% of the federal poverty level, or about $30,000 per year for a family of three. Participants will be randomly selected from a pool of applicants who meet the eligibility requirements.
Oakland’s project is significant because it is one of the largest efforts in the U.S. so far, targeting up to 600 families. And it is the first program to limit participation strictly to Black, Indigenous and people of color communities.
Universal Basic Income is a very bad idea, far worse than welfare ever was. You meet a certain income level, and you are given money every month. Money one may well be able to do whatever one wants to with it, such as in Oakland. See any potential problems here?
But in the case of this so-called help, if you are white, you will receive NO help at all. One must be black, Indigenous or another “person of color.” So much for blacks being so unfairly treated.
This program is being privately funded, so they can do what they will, right? Except that the program is being administered by the city of Oakland – meaning the city is endorsing racism, against white people.
But hey, since this racism is only being committed against white people, it’s ok. After all, white people deserve it right?
