General Michael Flynn defense fund Fellow patriots, please listen to this short, inspiring message from General Flynn. General Michael Flynn exemplifies patriotism, courage, and love of God and country - despite some of his own countrymen relentlessly attacking him. Donations for his defense are greatly appreciated. If you can only give $5.00, please do so - every little bit helps. Thank you so much, and God bless. Letter from General Flynn.

“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
—Romans 6:4

A pastor was baptizing a man who had lived a rather wicked life. The man told him, “Pastor, hold me down a long time. I have a lot to bury.”

Baptism is a symbol of the end of the old you and the beginning of the new you. It’s an outward showing of an inward doing, because regeneration takes place when we believe in Jesus.

  1. So,are you saying Romans 11 29 is wrong? “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.”

What about John 10:28  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Joh 10:29  My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

We SHOULD walk in the newness of life, but unfortunately some suffer cataclysmic events that shatter their once strong faith. The Word of God says what it means and means what it says. In the above verse it says “any man” and I think any means any, including us. I have come to realise that I know very little about the written Word of God, as I keep seeing deeper truths in it even though they are in agreement with the written word, they are exposed when I confess my lack and ask for His filling.

Please do not think that I am condemning or chastising your viewpoint, just adding another.

    • This post doesn’t argue against any of your chosen verses so I’m not sure what you mean. If an event in someone’s life “shattered” their faith, maybe it wasn’t so strong to begin with.
