What Finger News

By C.J. Refsland

Today marks the beginning of Lent. Many Christians celebrate Ash Wednesday.

“Ash Wednesday is a Christian holy day of prayer, fasting and repentance. … Ash Wednesday derives its name from the placing of repentance ashes on the foreheads of participants to either the words “Repent, and believe in the Gospel” or the dictum “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”(Wikipedia)

Regardless of denominations it begins a season of reflection and repentance. It’s more important than ever in a world that denies Christ is Gods Son or that Christ is the Savior of a broken, dark world, or that Christ died and rose again. Or a world that denies Christ is returning as King Of King’s!

I choose to reflect on these days before we celebrate Christ’s death and resurrection on God’s love, so much that He sent His only begotten Son so that we may believe and have eternal life. John 3:16

And to that I say Hallelujah! Beg for repentance for a dark land and come back to Him. We are living in the darkest hour. Celebrate God’s lamb and His gift. And shout Hallelujah I am not ashamed of the Gospel Of Christ!

Joshua 24: 15 And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
