ESPN is a dying brand. They’ve been collapsing for several years now, and their insistence on promoting leftist values has only sped that collapse along.
Over the past few years they’ve fired conservative commentators, they’ve promoted leftist causes during sports coverage, they’ve pandered to leftwing organizations like BlackLivesMatter, and now, they’re defending a woman who just called President Trump and his supporters “white supremacists.”
On Twitter, ESPN host Jemele Hill argued that President Trump and his team are white supremacists and that the people who voted for him are complicit in his racism. She also said that his presidency was a “direct result of white supremacy.”

“Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists. Trump is the most ignorant, offensive president of my lifetime. His rise is a direct result of white supremacy. Period.”
Here’s how ESPN responded to Hill’s disgusting commentary:
To call this a “slap on the wrist” would be too severe.
In February, ESPN fired tennis commentator Doug Adler when he labeled Venus Williams’ tennis style as “the guerrilla effect,” implying that she was playing aggressively. What some viewers heard was “gorilla effect,” they assumed Adler was being racially insensitive and ESPN reacted by firing him even though this explanation of his comments simply makes no sense.
Fast forward 7 months later and one of their hosts says that half of America supports racism, and that the President is a “white supremacist,” and ESPN does NOTHING.
It’s an incredibly grotesque double-standard.
This fiasco is on the heels of the suspension of another ESPN host, longtime anchor Linda Cohn, recently opined that ESPN had become “too political.” For her sin of being honest and saying something that was incredibly benign, she was immediately suspended.
Sources: After Linda Cohn spoke out on politics @ESPN she was told by prez John Skipper not to come to work & to think about what she said.

Here’s what Cohn said to earn her suspension:
“I felt that the old school viewers were put in a corner and not appreciated with all these other changes,” she explained. “And they forgot their core. You can never forget your core and be grateful for your core group.”
When she was asked if it was due to ESPN’s liberal lean, she said, “That is definitely a percentage of it. I don’t know how big a percentage, but if anyone wants to ignore that fact, they’re blind.”
That was worth a suspension, but Hill’s comments on the President weren’t?
So @espn suspended Linda Cohn for saying ESPN was talking too much politics. Didn't suspend Jemele Hill for saying Trump was a racist.

Clay Travis is a journalist and analyst for Fox Sports and his incredulity is shared by most of America.
After this all went down, Travis appeared on Fox News to discuss the situation with Tucker Carlson. Travis explained that ESPN’s leftwing agenda was alienating their viewers and consigning their network to the dustbin of history.
The only conclusion we can draw from this ongoing situation is that Jemele Hill’s political opinion is also ESPN’s opinion.
Which means that ESPN truly believes that the majority of their viewers (white American males) are racist supporting neanderthals.
Are you going to continue to support the dying sports network? Will you keep watching?
ESPN deserves to the fate that is coming for it. The network deserves to die, and Disney (its parent company) deserves to have its profits take a nosedive for turning America’s favorite sports network into a left-leaning politics first infomercial.
