The liberal media continues to bang the drum that President Trump has somehow given breath to the racist minority in our nation today. I don’t buy that, not even for a second.
While President Trump has been bombastic and has responded to his critics more than any President in the past, he’s also had more to respond to than past Presidents.
Fellow patriots, please listen to this short, inspiring message from General Flynn. General Michael Flynn exemplifies patriotism, courage, and love of God and country - despite some of his own countrymen relentlessly attacking him. Donations for his defense are greatly appreciated. If you can only give $5.00, please do so - every little bit helps. Thank you so much, and God bless. Letter from General Flynn.
President Trump has now denounced – specifically and loudly – the alt-right, the white nationalists, the white supremacists, and any other haters out there at least a half-dozen times over the last 7 months. Yes, they may have still voted for him. Yes, their beliefs may line up most closely with his. Yes, they may even vocally support him still.
None of that matters.
What matters is what does Trump believe, say, and do?
Throughout his life President Trump has been routinely, consistently, and often rewarded accolades from minority groups (mostly on the political left). Some of his staunchest defenders have been African-Americans like Don King, George Foreman, Dr. Ben Carson, and a host of black celebrities, entertainers, and athletes. One of his closest advisers is Omarosa Manigault, a black woman who became famous as a no-nonsense businesswoman on Trump’s show The Apprentice. Up until his recent Presidential flirtations he counted Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton among his very good friends. These connections were used against Trump as he ran for office, but now liberals ignore these past relationships.
What has the President said? At least a half-dozen times since his election, President Trump has denounced the race-dividers. He has called them out specifically by name, and he has denounced their beliefs as evil, vile, and wrong.
What has the President done? As the Chicago Tribune pointed out this past week, President Trump’s record on race is clear – minorities are doing better under Trump than they did under Obama.
So far under Trump, median family incomes have risen by more than $1,000, according to Sentier Research and based on Census Bureau numbers. These numbers are not broken down by race, but it’s a pretty good bet that black incomes have risen with those of other races under Trump.
What about other metrics of black economic progress under Trump? It’s early for sure, but we have some preliminary results since Election Day, when the stock market started its latest bull market run.
The black unemployment rate has fallen by a full percentage point in the last year, black labor force participation is up and the number of black Americans with a job has risen by 600,000 from last year. Preliminary data show black wages and incomes are up since the election.
The rate of job growth per month for blacks under Trump has so far been 40 percent higher than the monthly average under Obama. Trump has averaged nearly 30,000 new black jobs per month. That’s especially remarkable because Obama was elected when employment was way down.
The truth is that it’s not President Trump giving life to the racists, it’s the media. President Trump has denounced the racism in word, and deed. Meanwhile, the media continues to air the protests of a handful of radicals, the media continues to give their leaders airtime, the media continues to stoke the fires of illogical fear about a coming race war. It’s all the media’s doing. If the media would simply ignore the radical racists they would once again disappear into the dark corners where they’ve been hiding for the last 3 decades or so. Sadly, this wouldn’t feed the left’s narrative about the President or the GOP, so you can be that the media will continue to fan the flames of hatred.
America, it’s not the President you should be upset with when it comes to responding to race-related issues. It’s the media and their divisive friends on the left.
