This morning President Trump issued a series of Tweets that sent the national media into an uproar… again.

In his Tweets the President claimed that President Obama had wiretapped Trump Towers during the presidential campaign in an effort to scuttle Trump’s chances of winning the election.
Here’s what the President said:

Trump Tweets Obama Wiretap

Now, here’s is the front page CNN this Saturday afternoon. Notice that the title already chooses sides on this issue. CNN states that Trump is “falsely” accusing Obama of a heinous crime.

However, if you read the piece, you learn that they’ve arrived at this conclusion because it would be illegal for the President to do such a thing. But that’s the point of Trump’s original comments isn’t it? That Obama as President misused his power to spy on the Trump campaign? So, CNN’s discovery that the President doesn’t have the power to wiretap is rather self-serving and not actually conclusive of anything. Hillary Clinton didn’t have the power to use private email for her government job, but she did it anyway, right? President Nixon didn’t have the power to hide evidence, but he did it anyway, right?

(Also, here’s just some of the evidence that the Obama administration tried to wiretap Team Trump – though we don’t know if they succeeded.)

Now juxtapose this story with the left’s attempts to pretend that Attorney General Jeff Sessions and President Trump colluded with Russia during the campaign.

Just yesterday on MSNBC Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) appeared with Andrea Mitchell and said this:

“I think it’s important that the outcome of that counter-intelligence investigation be fully shared with the intelligence committees, both in the House and the Senate. There are transcripts that provide very helpful, very critical insights into whether or not Russian intelligence and senior Russian political leaders, including Vladimir Putin, were cooperating, were colluding with the Trump campaign at the highest levels to influence the outcome of our election. And if that information is stonewalled or hidden away and if we are not able to get that on the Senate intelligence committee, House intelligence committee then I think that has real consequences for our democracy.”

Yes, he just said the FBI has proof that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government during the campaign. However, when Mitchell asks if Coons has seen these transcripts firsthand, he replies, “I have not seen them. I believe they exist.” No pushback, no incredulity from MSNBC and the rest of the media. NOTHING. A Senator just said that the President colluded with the Russians to steal an election and that the FBI has PROOF and is hiding it… and NO ONE SAYS ANYTHING. The media simply lets the commentary slide by un-confronted.

This isn’t the only example of the completely biased and unfair reporting that we are seeing in the mainstream media today…

The Media Research Center has just concluded an intense, data driven study analyzing all of the media coverage of the President’s first month in office and found some stunningly awful news.

The media is obviously BIASED.

badpress30daysIn the first 30 days (January 20 to February 18), our analysts determined that the President and his team were the subject of 16 hours of coverage on just the Big Three evening newscasts. This equates to more than half (54%) of all of the news coverage during this period.

While most new presidents enjoy a media honeymoon, the tone of Trump’s coverage was nearly as hostile (88% negative) as we found during last year’s presidential campaign (91% negative).

Our measure of media tone excludes soundbites from identified partisans, focusing instead on tallying the evaluative statements made by reporters and the non-partisan talking heads (experts and average citizens) included in their stories. In their coverage of Trump’s first month, the networks crowded their stories with quotes from citizens angry about many of his policies, while providing relatively little airtime to Trump supporters.

Think about that, folks. President Trump was just over HALF of the broadcast media’s coverage over the last month, and 88% of that coverage was negative. Meanwhile, the President’s support among Republicans has been climbing and conservatives and populists have been rallying around him to praise his efforts on various issues from the economy, to pro-life issues, to labor causes, to the war on terror. Yet somehow, the media can’t seem to find time to talk about these positive developments?

Strange, isn’t it?

And the media expects the American people to trust them…
