Fellow patriots, please listen to this short, inspiring message from General Flynn. General Michael Flynn exemplifies patriotism, courage, and love of God and country - despite some of his own countrymen relentlessly attacking him. Donations for his defense are greatly appreciated. If you can only give $5.00, please do so - every little bit helps. Thank you so much, and God bless. Letter from General Flynn.
I also thought about the human condition–how God proves to people that they are like animals. [Ecclesiastes 3:18; NLT]
My adventure in prayer last night could be called, “I slept while my spirit meditated.”
Several days ago my wife and I had a couple over for supper, and after eating some of the best lasagna I’ve ever put in my mouth, we sat down to talk. During the course of our conversation, that spanned the American Civil War to the Fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden, my friend said something interesting: “God’s heart was broken when Adam sinned.”, and while the comment struck me, I had no idea that it would enter my spirit and gestate until 2:30 this morning.
I’ve explained before, that I usually have no agenda when I get up to pray, in fact, as sleepy as I usually am when I begin, it’s amazing I don’t doze out completely, and last night was no different. But as I began, I immediately began to think of what my friend had said, and I realized with a shock that I had never thought that God Himself would have suffered an emotional loss at the Fall. In fact, I suddenly understood I never thought Almighty God could feel grief, and I always felt that if He knows the future, and is perfect in knowledge, He always knows what’s going to happen, and therefore is incapable of feeling grief. Looking at it now, I wonder how I ever could have thought that.
A cursory reading of the first few chapters of Genesis makes it clear that God and Adam had an intimate relationship. Although we don’t know the depth of that intimacy, it was close enough for God to impart to Adam knowledge concerning his environment, and it’s not a stretch to think that Adam was created in God’s image so that he would have the capacity to be God’s created companion. Nowhere in scripture is it even hinted at that God created angels for His companions, and nowhere does it say angels have the capacity to have the heart of God. But concerning mankind, Hebrews, chapter two states:
“What are mere mortals that you should think about them, or a son of man that you should care for him? Yet you made them only a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You gave them authority over all things.” Now when it says “all things,” it means nothing is left out. But we have not yet seen all things put under their authority. What we do see is Jesus, who was given a position “a little lower than the angels”; and because he suffered death for us, he is now “crowned with glory and honor.” Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone. God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory. And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation. So now Jesus and the ones he makes holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brothers and sisters. [Hebrews 2:6-11; NLT]
Isn’t it incredible that because of Jesus we can approach God the Father on the basis of being the brothers and sisters of Jesus Himself?! That’s one of those concepts that’s easier to get in our minds than it is to get in our hearts. The logical next step is to understand that God’s plan for the Church is to be His companion forever, hence the title: Bride of Christ. But we are not ready…yet.
If God were to walk with me and begin to reveal the secrets of the universe and share His heart, I’m sure that my being would have to dramatically change before I would be anything better suited for Him than a dog on a leash. It is said we only use 10% of our brains. I don’t know how that percentage was derived, but the concept must be true – I can’t even remember names of people I meet from one day to the next; Adam named the animals, and the names were probably based on his prior knowledge of them.
And considering that the whole story of the Bible is visible in the stars (the original zodiac, not the one of astrology), and presumably Adam passed on that knowledge, since lost to us, what more did his brain contain? It is no stretch to think Adam, created to be a companion to God, had full use of his created capacities, and received the downloads of God. It should be painfully obvious we do not.
Adam did not have computers and “smart” phones….he didn’t need them. They are a crutch to us, and we are still dull, and getting more so; that’s why we constantly need better computers. We’re spending our time on earth improving the things that are poor substitutes for what we’ve lost.
We might have given away our original dominion at the Fall, but then began a pattern of consistent loss that’s robbed us of so much more than we can even imagine, and it’s my firm belief that spiritually, we’re living way below the poverty line, and getting more impoverished every day. We have become like animals before the Creator. I was shown a clear picture of it last night, and I didn’t like what I saw.
I, we, have been systematically robbed, held under and victimized ever since the Fall. Don’t agree? Try reading verbatim the stump speeches of Abraham Lincoln during the Lincoln/Douglas debates in the 1860’s. Good luck understanding what he said to farmers, and the common people of his day! What self-educated Mr. Lincoln said will rip your college degree in shreds, along with your ego! We’ve lost more than we’ve gained, and I for one, want it back!
We were created to be so much more than we’ve become accustomed to, and I’m petitioning God for the restoration of what I’ve lost. I want to be made (re-made) into a worthy companion, as I was created to be, and for any of that restoration to happen, I have to have my capacity altered. I’m like a computer that needs a whole new motherboard and ten times the memory. If I indeed have the mind of Christ available to me, then I want the restoration to begin, and it is a matter of intense prayer and consecration.
The enemy has robbed us of our created capacity to be God’s companions, and we must fight in prayer to get back what was once ours. If we want off this planet any sooner than death, we must have it.
He’s planning to come back for a bride, not dogs on leashes.
