Congressmen Darrell Issa (R-CA), Steven Chabot (R-OH) and Jim Jordan (R-OH) are not happy with the way that the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s malfeasance has been handled. I know this with absolute certainty thanks to Wednesday’s House hearing on the issue. Congressman Jordan was able to get Director Comey to agree that it seemed that the Clinton team had attempted to tamper with evidence and cover up her crimes, even if the FBI chose not to charge anyone with anything. Congressman Issa was rightly perturbed that the FBI had suddenly become so generous with immunity deals. But the pièce de résistance was Congressman Chabot’s exchange with Comey, and Comey’s emphatic proclamation that he never said that Clinton was truthful about anything!
Fellow patriots, please listen to this short, inspiring message from General Flynn. General Michael Flynn exemplifies patriotism, courage, and love of God and country - despite some of his own countrymen relentlessly attacking him. Donations for his defense are greatly appreciated. If you can only give $5.00, please do so - every little bit helps. Thank you so much, and God bless. Letter from General Flynn.
I kid you not.
The woman is running for President, and has a better than 50/50 shot of winning, and the FBI Director just explained that she did try to cover-up her misdeeds, she did tamper with evidence, and that she was most certainly not truthful.
What a world.
Rep. Jordan seems to agree with my incredulity:
Here’s the takeaway in my mind: [Cheryl] Mills gets a heads up in mid-summer of 2014. July 23, the day before Mr. Combetta’s Reddit post, the House Benghazi Committee and the State Dept. reached an agreement on production of documents. Mills has a conversation with Paul Combetta. He goes on Reddit then, and tries to figure out how he can get rid of all this email. Even though he is not successful then, he has to do it later on with BleachBit. And then the clincher: Just last week, he’s going online and trying to delete these Reddit posts. He’s trying to delete his tracks. He’s trying to cover up the cover-up.
Rep. Issa is upset that so many Clinton team members were granted immunity, (in his words “giving out immunity like candy”) which in and of itself seems to suggest that something criminal happened and that several people were involved.
Rep. Chabot gave us the most insightful moment of the day with this admission from Comey, that he never called Clinton “truthful.”
Rep. Chabot: A few months ago Hillary Clinton in talking about her emails claimed that you said, and I quote, ‘My answers were truthful.’ PolitiFact, by the way, gave this claim a ‘pants on fire’ rating. Did you say that she was telling the truth with respect to her email claims?
James Comey: I did not. I’d never say that about anybody. Our business is never to decide whether someone is — whether we believe someone — our business is always to decide what evidence do we have that would convince us not to believe that person. It’s an odd way to look at the world, but it’s how investigators looks at the world.
