In a discussion about his new documentary that examines how societies fall when they reject God, Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson said America today is “swimming in a sea of depravity,” where “murder is mainstream” and we “priss around and parade our perversion.”
Fellow patriots, please listen to this short, inspiring message from General Flynn. General Michael Flynn exemplifies patriotism, courage, and love of God and country - despite some of his own countrymen relentlessly attacking him. Donations for his defense are greatly appreciated. If you can only give $5.00, please do so - every little bit helps. Thank you so much, and God bless. Letter from General Flynn.
In rejecting God and His moral laws, Robertson paraphrased Jefferson, “His wrath” will fall on our nation. The Founding Fathers “repeatedly warned us about the day we have have now come upon, and we’re seeing in our society,” said Robertson.
Phil Robertson made his remarks during a May 11 interview on the radio show “Breitbart News Daily,” which is hosted by Stephen K. Bannon. Diving into a discussion about the new documentary, Torchbearer, Bannon asked, “Is this the film you wanted to see made? And tell people what your idea was of what you wanted to see up on the screen.”
Duck Dynasty’s Robertson said, “Well, if you look around, the frustration you see coming out of America, in my opinion, is primarily being fueled by this – this depravity has become mainstream.”
“Murder is mainstream,” he said. “We slaughter our own children. We priss around and parade our perversion. It’s being done in front of our very eyes.”
“I mean, depravity, literally — and I never thought I’d see it in my lifetime — but it has literally become mainstream,” said Robertson, who is a born-again Christian and lives in West Monroe, La., with his wife, four adult children, many grandchildren and relatives.
Robertson continued, “And that script [Torchbearer] I read that you all sent me, on what happens when you remove God, if there’s not a firm conviction of the God of Creation in the mind of human beings. Jefferson said it best in the Declaration of Independence, our rights come from God. He also said that God who gave us life gave us liberty.”
“And then he asked a rhetorical question,” said Robertson. “Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we’ve removed our only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gifts of God? He says you violate them – Thomas Jefferson said that – and His wrath is coming.”
As a consequence of rejecting God, “we’re swimming in a sea of depravity, and I think this movie would at least shed a little light on exactly what our Founding Fathers warned us about,” said Phil Robertson. “I read the Founding Fathers, Mr. Director [Bannon], carefully and I’ve studied what they said. They repeatedly warned us about the day we have now come upon and we’re seeing in our society. They said it.”
“John Adams said, when people forget God, tyrants forge their chains – and it just goes on and on, George Washington and, you know,” said Robertson. “It’s impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible. So here we are. So I think, hopefully, through this movie it will change, the documentary will change the hearts of some people.”
