Racism Within West Point

The United States Military Academy at West Point, our Nation’s premiere service academy, continues to undergo change and transformation the likes no military could ever withstand.  Senior Officers are now under orders to provide “lactating stations and times” away from training (I guess even combat but I am only guessing on that matter), sensitivity training, conclusivity training and awareness classes, and other politically correct forums.  I wonder if preparing cadets for combat leadership is still a priority; I wonder if learning to lead men into combat where there is no political correctness taking place is still an order of the day.  The cadets graduating will become commissioned Second Lieutenants in the U.S. Army, and are to be prepared to lead in combat where bullets and bombs do not seek political correctness, merely, to kill.  Will they be prepared to lead?  Will they be prepared to make the tough choices that sometimes have no fairness connected to them?

General Michael Flynn defense fund Fellow patriots, please listen to this short, inspiring message from General Flynn. General Michael Flynn exemplifies patriotism, courage, and love of God and country - despite some of his own countrymen relentlessly attacking him. Donations for his defense are greatly appreciated. If you can only give $5.00, please do so - every little bit helps. Thank you so much, and God bless. Letter from General Flynn.

What the hell has West Point come to?  The photo below depicts future military leaders.  What I see are cadets who appear to be angry, defiant, and politically aware prepared to act on this political awareness.  I don’t see the likes of a cadet George Patton, Dwight Eisenhower, Douglas MacArthur, and an Omar Bradley or more modern-day warriors who stood in the gap between the coming wolf and the sheep.  I pray I’m wrong.  I am, however, stunned at the photo below.  I don’t see on these cadets’ faces, or in their carriage of self the dedication to “Duty, Honor, Country.”  Again…I pray I am wrong.  So very, very much depends on these cadets joining with honor and dedication to serve the “Long Gray Line” of West Pointers who have gone on before them and served gallantly, quietly, with courage and dignity, and even died for the nation they believed in and took an Oath of Commissioning to Serve and Protect against All enemies, foreign and domestic.

The United State Military Academy never condoned racism.  Our Nation has spent decades toiling to right the wrong of racism and bigotry.  The change and transformation we have been witnessing these past seven and a half years has crippled much of the previous success in correcting these heinous wrongs.  New wounds have been sliced with old wounds and scars reopened.  Enough!  The cadets and midshipman of our service academies represent our best and brightest, a real hope for our country’s future, and insurance for our country’s values, ideals, traditions, culture, and beliefs to continue for future generations to enjoy and embrace.  The photo of these cadets make me sad not glad; worried not assured for our future readiness to defend our country.  Again…I pray I am wrong.

  1. What exactly does a raised fist means? What is the difference between that and a hand wave?

It seems that every gesture made by African Americans historically have always been overly analysed by Caucasian Americans as signs of rebellion.

They behave as if African Americans have been the ones, who were mistreating and brutalising Caucasians for centuries.

What is happening to these young ladies now, is a form of terrorism.

Threatening them with the loss of what they have worked so hard to achieve.

That is exactly the same kind of psychological terrorism that African Americans have been suffering from; at the hands of many Caucasian Americans for the past centuries.

Terrorism is not always physical violence.

    • Chiniquy – Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts, I think you showed courage being transparent as you were. I can appreciate your coming to the defense of those West Point cadets who staged a photo of themselves in front of a U.S.M.A. barracks with raised fists. You might want to submit your thoughts and defense of those cadets to the United States Military Academy at West Point who has called for a formal investigation of the incident. Last Friday, the Director of Public Affairs, Lt. Col. Christopher Kasher confirmed the U.S.M.A. is investigating 16 black female cadets in uniform “displaying raised fists outside a U.S.M.A. barracks.” I wonder if you think Lt. Col. Kasher is racist, too, since he stated the subjects being investigated are black female cadets who raised their fists in a known adversarial and/or defiant manner? For the Record, I did not place the banner over the photo titled: “AFRO Native Action.” West Point itself is upset over this incident, as are many former senior officers, some recently retired. My emails from Full Bird Colonels, One and Two-Star Generals, and a Two-Star Admiral, all retired, along with a host of other emails shows tremendous concern over this incident, and the message portrayed. I know you know this…perception is reality for many, many folks. The perception demonstrated on the steps of that West Point barracks is not a good one.

Something terrible has happened to our military – all branches of the military services. We have political generals and admirals who care more about their careers, retirement benefits, and investment portfolios than those whom they command. Across the board our military branches are decaying; Marine Corp planes don’t have spare parts to fly; Navy ships are decrepit and forced to remain in dock; Army Officers can’t run a tank range. Making a non-PC comment gets the service member on report – or worse! The U.S. Military is being led by a combination of leftists, feminists, selfish careerists, and simple “yes” men. The service academies are suppose to be geared to turn out leaders capable of leading men into hostile enviornments where people get shot and killed. The cadets pictured are meant to send a message – Protect and Defend the United States of America from all enemies, foreign and domestic. Adversarial poses like those cadets chose does not send that message. ~LJR
