You may recall the incident in Grayslake, Illinois, reported by The Blaze, where “Community Consolidated School District 46 curriculum coordinator Amanda August in which she said it matters less if students answer 3 x 4 incorrectly as long as they explain how they arrived at their final answer.”
Fellow patriots, please listen to this short, inspiring message from General Flynn. General Michael Flynn exemplifies patriotism, courage, and love of God and country - despite some of his own countrymen relentlessly attacking him. Donations for his defense are greatly appreciated. If you can only give $5.00, please do so - every little bit helps. Thank you so much, and God bless. Letter from General Flynn.
She’s further explains that “even under the new Common Core if even they said 3 x 4 was 11, if they were able to explain their reasoning and explain how they came up with their answer, really in words and for all explanations and they showed it in a picture but they just got the final number wrong? Were more focused on the how and the why.”
Why? There is no why. It just is. Three sets of four is 12. Four sets of three is 12. That’s it. This is arithmetic. It’s not psychology. 3 x 4 is not 12, relatively speaking. It’s just 12.
Yet, this is where we are heading in every facet of modern America. It is the Common Core-ing of our society, where everything is relative. An answer can’t just be right – it must also feel right.
But this should surprise no one. Modern day America is becoming a cauldron of relativism, where there are no absolutes, except, of course, global warming.
Reality is only what one perceives it to be on any given day. And because of that, it becomes as fluid as some people’s genders or ethnicities. It seems Rachel Dolezal has figured this out. She appears to have caught on to the whole “I identify with such and such a race or sex,” etc. She apparently went from faking being black to “identifying” as black. By uttering that short phrase, it should effectively inoculate her from criticism.
And, evidently, that has happened in very short order. Last week, she was a pariah. This week, she is no longer a pretender, as she admits that, as a child, “I was drawing self-portraits in brown crayon,” and that she takes exception to people calling her deceptive and says “that is a little more complex than me identifying as black or answering a question of, are you black or white.”
Of course, it is more complex. Just like 4 x 3 = 11. As long as it feels right – it evidently is.
Actually, now that I think about it, if I merely “feel like a woman” on any given day, do I even need to dress the part? As long as I internally consider myself a woman why should I be held to the convention of dressing that way? And moreover, if I feel like a lesbian, can I pick up women during ladies night?
Yes, everything will be relative. I can now drive at whatever speed I wish, as long as I feel I am only driving 35 mph.
If, one day, I feel black and see another black guy on the street and say to him: “what’s up N**ger.” Am I a racist, or just hip? Conversely, if a black man feels white, can he use the ever popular greeting – what’s up my cracka?
Yes, all this sounds utterly absurd, but that’s evidently where we’re headed. And would not what we’re experiencing today have sounded equally absurd just 10 years ago?
So I guess the question is: just how ridiculous will society get before it resets and the pendulum swings back the other way? And when that happens, how far will the pendulum swing? Will it swing back to something reasonable or, as pendulums do, swing beyond, to the puritanical? Only time will tell.
