A group of pastors were surrounded and assertively removed from the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center on February 25th, because of their scheduled prayer meeting under the Banner of Appeal to Heaven. The white banner with an evergreen tree and the words “Appeal to Heaven” written on the banner was present when the small group gathered for this scheduled meeting. Congressman Bob Goodlatte from Virginia reserved the auditorium at the Capitol Visitor’s Center for this gathering, and Bishop E.W. Jackson of The Called Church in Virginia was leading this gathering of prayer and reconciliation. Bishop Jackson said, “Given the ugly rhetoric by the likes of Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakhan, we thought they would welcome our call for unity, healing and reconciliation.” Prior to being removed, the pastors were informed that Congressional Oversight Committee senior staff were monitoring this event, and they would not allow the ministers and gathering to use the room unless the “Appeal to Heaven” was altered to read something like: “A discussion of (or Appeal for) legislation.”
Fellow patriots, please listen to this short, inspiring message from General Flynn. General Michael Flynn exemplifies patriotism, courage, and love of God and country - despite some of his own countrymen relentlessly attacking him. Donations for his defense are greatly appreciated. If you can only give $5.00, please do so - every little bit helps. Thank you so much, and God bless. Letter from General Flynn.
In the beginning days of the American Revolution for Independence and Freedom, General George Washington knew better than most; his army and all that is required to fight a massive war against the most powerful financially secure, the most organized military industry of the world at that time, Britain, could not be accomplished without God’s direct intervention and the young colonies submission to God. Washington ordered the Appeal to Heaven Flag to fly over forts up and down the Hudson and throughout the colonies, and he placed the flag on young America’s first navy – several small fishing schooners he bought with his own funds to go against the mighty British fleet! The Appeal to Heaven Flag was America’s first flag prior to the Betsy Ross Stars and Stripes with the stars in a circle so many know.
Many years later (the Revolution War took eight years) when George Washington was sworn in to become our Nation’s First President, he appealed to Heaven again publicly and made covenant with God to watch over and bless this young nation, and that Washington would honor the covenant he and his fellow Forefathers established through the documents filled with rich text taken from the Bible and the Judeo-Christian foundations which became the United States of America’s foundations and principles. How terribly sad and ironic that this gathering of pastors and Christian Believers were dismissed from the Halls of Congress for Appealing to Heaven when written on the very walls surrounding them were words like: In God We Trust.
America is very quickly losing its’ moral foundation, and arguably it can be said, already has lost it! We are standing on the precipice of violating and turning our backs on a covenant made by our Forefathers at the Birth of this Nation, and which helped guide and make the United States of America the exceptional country this world has seen all these years; blessed well beyond any nation. We better Appeal to Heaven.
