By Todd Starnes

An elementary school in Frisco, Texas is believed to be the first in the state to violate “The Merry Christmas Law” after they banned Christmas trees and the colors red & green from an upcoming “winter” party.

Boys and girls who attend the Nichols Elementary School “Winter Party” will not be able to make any reference to Christmas or any other religious holiday. Christmas trees are also banned – along with the colors red and green.

The rules were sent to parents in an email from the school’s PTA and first reported on by MyFoxDFW.com.

This is what it’s come to, America. You’ve got college-educated terrified to put a toy elf on the shelf because she might get sued by the ACLU or some other left wing anti-Christmas group.

Ironically, the school is located in the district of state Rep. Pat Fallon, the author of a bill signed into law in June that codifies the fact that students and staff are permitted to discuss winter holidays as they please.
Fallon tells me he was alerted by an angry parent.

“When Gov. Perry signed ‘The Merry Christmas Bill,’ clearly that didn’t solve the issue,” he said. “The battle rages on. It’s distressing.”

The school district released a statement to MyFoxDFW.com noting:

“The school was unaware of this and it was not an official PTA correspondence either. There have never been any limitations on what students wear, what they bring to share with their classmates on party days … what greetings people exchange with each other.”

But Fallon said contrary to the school district’s statement, the ban remains in place. He also said he spoke to the superintendent and learned that the school district was letting principals set their own policies regarding holiday celebrations.

“That leads to confusion, misinterpretation and flaunting of the law,” he said.

Fallon said the ban on Christmas trees and traditional holiday colors remains in place and calls it “unnecessary, inappropriate, and quite frankly draconian in nature.”

However, after a meeting between the principal and the PTA, the school decided to keep the draconian rules in place.

“She [the principal] said they didn’t want to offend any families and since each family donates money they feel this is the best policy,” read an email sent to the lawmaker.

What about all the families who might be offended by not being able to call Christmas, Christmas?

“I feel like my calling in life is to protect the students, parents and teachers,” Fallon said. “They have a constitutional right to express themselves. They have freedom of religion.”

Fallon fired off a letter to every school official in the district, reminding them of their yuletide rights under the law.

“Texas law clearly permits Christmas-themed celebrations, events and displays,” Fallon wrote. “The district may also display scenes or symbols with traditional winter holidays (e.g. nativity scenes, Christmas trees, menorahs, etc.)”

The lawmaker said he was shocked at the number of calls his office has received from nervous teachers and principals – wondering what they could and could not do.

“One teacher wanted to do ‘Elf on a Shelf’ and she thought she would get in trouble,” Fallon told me.

So this is what it’s come to, America. You’ve got college-educated teacher terrified to put a toy elf on the shelf because she might get sued by the ACLU or some other left wing anti-Christmas group.

Unfortunately, there are no criminal penalties for violating “The Merry Christmas Law.” Perhaps Rep. Fallon could offer an amendment? In lieu of jail time, violators would be subjected to a lump of coal on Christmas Day.

  1. More LEFT WING LIBERALS Destroying Our Beloved United States Of America Traditions!! CHRISTmas is Jesus Christ REASON for the SEASON!!

    • Well it did originate as a pagan holiday…but if when one celebrates Christmas one glorifies the Lord, I see nothing wrong with it…so I’m with ya! 🙂

    • Even though a school would have no right to shove God Jehovah Jireh down the throats of anyone – This school does not realize just how ‘Biblically’ correct they are being with banning the ‘Christmas/Anti-Christ tree of Satan and the ‘Satanic colors of red and green. Christians refuse to listen to the truth because they want to play Christmas and be involved in all of the shopping and gifts and the garbage so they have to somehow justify what they do by pretending as if Christmas is about Jesus Christ, when Christmas is about the Anti-Christ. They worship the death of Christ by celebrating Christmas – and they justify it in their minds so they can believe that they are ‘Biblically’ correct.

Even the name, “Christmas” is pagan! “Christi” meant “Christ”, while “Mas” meant Mass. Since all pagan Masses are commemorating “death”, the name, “Christmas” literally means the “death of Christ”. A deeper meaning lies in the mention of “Christ” without specifying Jesus. Thus, Antichrist is in view here; the pagans celebrate “Christmas” as a celebration of their coming Antichrist, who will deal a death blow to the Jesus Christ of Christianity.

Consider the pagan roots of our popular symbols of Christmas:
      (1) Christmas Tree – The sacred tree of the winter-god; Druids believed the spirit of their gods resided in the tree. Most ancient pagans knew the tree represented Nimrod reincarnated into Tammuz! Pagans also looked upon the tree as a phallic symbol.

      (2) Star – Pentalpha, the five-pointed star. The pentalpha is a powerful symbol of Satan, second only to the hexagram. The star is the sacred symbol of Nimrod, and has nothing whatsoever to do with Christianity.

      (3) Candles represent the sun-gods’ newly-born fire. Pagans the world over love and use candles in their rituals and ceremonies. Certain colors are also thought to represent specific powers. The extensive use of candles is usually a very good indication that the service is pagan, no matter what the outward trappings might be.

      (4) Mistletoe is the sacred plant of the Druids, symbolizing pagan blessings of fertility; thus, kissing under the mistletoe is the first step in the reproductive cycle! Witches also use the white berries in potions.

      (5) Wreaths are circular, and so they represent the female sexual organs. Wreaths are associated with fertility and the “circle of life”.

      (6) Santa Claus – Former Satanists have told me that “Santa” is an anagram for “Satan”. In the New Age, the god, “Sanat Kamura”, is most definitely an anagram for “Satan”. The mythical attributes and powers ascribed to Santa are eerily close to those possessed by Jesus Christ.

      (7) Reindeer are horned animals representing the “horned-god” or the “stag-god” of pagan religion! Santa’s traditional number of reindeer in his team is eight (8); in Satanic gematria, eight is the number of “new beginnings”, or the cycle of reincarnation. The Illuminati views the number “eight” as a symbol of their New World Order.

      (8) Elves are imp-like creatures who are Santa’s (Satan’s) little helpers. They are also demons.

      (9) Green and Red are the traditional colors of the season, as they are the traditional pagan colors of winter. Green is Satan’s favorite color, so it is appropriate it should be one of the traditional colors for Christmas; red is the color of human blood, Satan’s highest form of sacrifice – for this reason, Communism adopted red as it main color!

      (10) December 25 is known as the “nativity” of the sun. This date is the birthday of Tammuz, the son, the reincarnation of the sun god. Traditionally, December 21 is known as Yule. The Roman Catholic Church moved the celebration of Yule to December 25.

      (11) December 25 is also known to the Romans as “Saturnalia”, a time of deliberate debauchery. Drinking through repeated toasting – known as ‘wassail’ – was a key to the debauchery of this celebration. Fornication was symbolized by the mistletoe, and the entire event was finished with a Great Feast, the Christmas Dinner.

      (12) Even the name, “Christmas” is pagan!

Early American Christian Pilgrims refused to celebrate this day.

      • While I see and understand your point here, I will say this is a little over the top. If people choose to celebrate this day as a day to remember Christ and spend time with family…I can’t see that as wrong. If some choose not to have anything to do with Christmas, well that is ok too. As for the tree etc…I personally don’t care about that, it’s about Jesus and family.

        God bless

      • If God had desired us to remember the day of Christ’s birth, He could have left us the precise date. But if He had, He would have vindicated every astrologer in the past 2000 years. In occult circles, the anniversary of a person’s birth is the most important metaphysical day of the year. The Bible recognizes no such significance. It is intriguing that there are only two birthdays recorded in the entire Bible and they were both those of ungodly kings — and both resulted in an execution. (Gen. 40:16-22 and Matt. 14:6-10/Mark 6:21-27)!

God is jealous. He saved you from serving the devil to be His very own bride. He expects total adoration and perfect obedience. Religious holy days are one of the devil’s and world’s favorite ways to seduce you into spiritual adultery, where you will ignorantly make love with pagan idolatry and the devil, often in the name of Christianity. When God sees this adultery, He turns to be your enemy (Jas 4:4).

God is jealous. He knew religious customs of other nations were attractive, so He warned His people strictly to reject all of them. He would not accept any pagan religious traditions, even if done to Him (Deut 12:1-4,29-31). He demands perfect obedience, without turning to the right or the left, without adding or taking away (Deut 5:32; 12:32). He expects you to come out and be separate (II Cor 6:14-18).

        Christmas is Spiritual Adultery
Taking an evergreen tree, putting it in your house, decorating it with lights, sitting in the dark, and adoring it to Christmas carols is spiritual adultery. You profess to love Jesus, but you do so with the mementos and techniques of other lovers – the world and pagan religion. You are not content with Christ’s pure gospel – for it has no Mass of Christ. You have added the world’s seductions to keep you happy in your marriage to Christ. He is highly offended at your whorish ways.

        • And – I shared all of this because Christians want to condemn those for not saying Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays. I am a Christian and I do not like the hypocrisy. What I have shared is the truth in regards to Christmas and any other so-called Holy Days. If a Christian wants to celebrate satan – in the disguise of Holiness, that is all fine and they can do as they wish, HOWEVER, they need not point fingers and condemn others in the process.

        • I can only say WOW. Isn’t this a little over the top?? You might want to remember Roman’s 14. If you don’t celebrate Christmas in any way, I’m good with that. Their is nothing wrong with that at all. But to say that those who do…keeping in mind Christ not the tree etc is wrong, well we will have to agree to disagree on that.

          God bless

  2. Shared on Twitter and Facebook. Can you imagine the press if this was about Muslims or other religions…the outrage? I think of Jesus saying we will be hated and persecuted because of Him. Yup and in ways we may never have imagined.

    • Assuredly….

    • It is Christians who cause their own persecution. Christians persecuted and crucified Christ. Christians insist to play in the devil’s games and renaming is something fitting to Christianity. Christians are their own nemesis.

      • While it is true that Christians cause some of their own persecution, it was not “Christians” who caused the death of Jesus persay, it was the Pharisees. Also, if God had not ordained this to happen, it never would have. Christ died for us willingly, no force on earth or in the heavens above could have killed Him.

      • Christians did not persecute and crucify Christ! The Jews did!
It was meant to happen and it did, to the glory of God Almighty and for the grace of mankind.

  3. What a bunch of miserable bah humbugs they all are!
The leftist atheist brigade want to take the joy out of everything!

    • As usual…

    • I am neither a Democrat or Republican. In fact, I am a Center-Right Moderate Social Libertarian. I believe that people’s individual rights should be the basis for our society and should be held over group or public “rights”. I am fiscally conservative.

Fiscal conservatives believe in small government—in leaving the states and the people alone to the greatest degree possible, free to pursue their own lives without federal interference. They reject high tax rates and government spending, and believe that letting American workers and businesses keep as much of their own money as possible is the best thing we can do for the economy. They see a balanced budget as the best way to ensure the long-term financial health of the country. They generally believe in maintaining a strong national defense and leaving safety nets like Social Security intact in some form.

Most of all, I am a Christian who does not like hypocrisy. In the last days, there is the falling away. The ‘church’ will fall away from the truth and do as they decide. The Apostasy. This idea of Christians celebrating a pagan holiday and all the while pointing fingers at ‘democrats’ or anyone else, is hypocrisy. And Apostasy …

      • I was thinking about all of this and I couldnt help but laugh.
I am a person sharing the truth and then to have a Christian take it for granted that surely I am a leftist atheist simply because I do not agree with their hypocrisy lolol Calling me a leftist atheist because I know what Christmas is really about. Calling me a leftist atheist and all the while they are the one to fight for the celebration of this pagan holiday. OH MY!!!! The Blind Hypocrisy!!

I aint even sayin that I didnt ever have a tree. My main point is the hypocrisy of Christians fighting over a pagan holiday and they have no Biblical Ground. And too – it does feel very eerie to have a tree inside the church or on the church grounds.

  4. I don’t know what all the fuss is about. ‘Christmas’ trees have got nothing to do with Christ’s birth. As already pointed out, the whole ‘holiday’ is filled with paganism, the holly, ivy, yule, trees, greenery. Whilst we can say we celebrate Christmas to honour the birth of our Saviour it isn’t a requirement or a commandment. Better to live like Christians throughout the whole year. While we are at it we should stop telling lies to our children and tell them the truth from the start. How can a child trust in their parents when they find out Santa Claus doesn’t exist? Proverbs 22:6

    Shirley Anne

  5. Wow, unbelievable comments here!

If a Christian wishes to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior then so be it. God bless them. If they choose not to them God bless them.

There is nothing wrong whatsoever with a Christian celebrating the birth and incarnation of the one who saved us from eternal death!

I celebrate Jesus each and everyday, however, that does not mean we cannot celebrate his birth on a specific day of the year either.

Just because you may celebrate Christmas does not mean that you are celebrating a sun god, or Satan for that matter. Unless that is what you believe in.

If you believe that you are worshiping another god or evil, then by all means do not celebrate it. However, if Christmas for you is worshiping, praising and celebrating God Almighty then have at it.

If you go outside and enjoy the sun, are you then worshiping a sun god? If you enjoy trees that God has created, does that make you a pagan? Not unless you believe in these other gods and are celebrating them, it does not. If you enjoy rainbows, does that mean that you are gay? Certainly not, God gave us the rainbows, the sun and the trees for our pleasure and enjoyment.

For goodness sake people, lighten up!

    God Bless Everyone!

  6. I will not be back to say any more. Christians warring for Satan, falling away from the truth, is The Apostasy. I have one thing left to say …

Hey!! Apostate Christians!! Your Christmas Jesus is not Jesus Christ!! You are worshiping Satan!!! Merry Christmas to the Apostate Church!!

Thank you for helping me to learn that I do not celebrate Christmas and I am sorry I ever celebrated Christmas. Thank you for causing me to seek the truth and for confirming to me that my decision to not attend your satanic churches is the correct decision!

May God Help You and Save Your Souls!
As Is – You Are Damned!!

    • I can only say you are very misguided Cherryl. Your comments are pretty much slanderous and attacking in nature to many people. I’m sorry you feel this way.

Whether people choose to celebrate Christmas or not celebrate it…both positions are perfectly acceptable. No one is advocating for the meaningless celebration of commercialism and partying that guides many Christmas celebrations, that is wrong. If Christmas is celebrated with an eye to honoring the Lord there is nothing wrong with that. Your comments however are uncalled for and mean-spirited.

  7. (Like you said Greg)

    Romans 14

5 “One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. 6 Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7 For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. 8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. 9 For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

10 You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. 11 It is written:

“‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
    ‘every knee will bow before me;
    every tongue will acknowledge God.’”

12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.

13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister. 14 I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean. 15 If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy someone for whom Christ died. 16 Therefore do not let what you know is good be spoken of as evil. 17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, 18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.”

Please fellow believers, do not pass judgement on one another for celebrations, feasts, etc. Do not condemn one another. For what one believer finds Holy another may not. Let it be so to each individual as he or she feels is right in their heart. God knows the heart, the mind and the spirit of each one of us. This is the written word of God, and is Holy.

We are all children of the most High. We are precious in the sight of the Lord. Each and everyone of us. Be very careful how you treat another believer, for in so doing you are doing to the Father as well.

    God Bless and Amen!

    • Thank you Gordon…a wise reminder to all of us to watch what we say, and that most assuredly includes me. I do try to be careful, but I know I have said things I should not have at times.

      God bless
